MIAMI WEB FEST
PODCASTS
(FICTION AND NON-FICTION)
Miami Web Fest has expanded and now showcases Fictional and Non Fictional Podcasts.
Submissions from every genre are welcome and will be evaluated based upon quality of content.
Nominations will be broken into sub-categories after Official Selections are made.
We accept both serialized and episodic fiction and non-fiction podcasts, including stand-alone fictional stories, anthologies, and pilots.
A maximum of 30 minutes of material may be submitted for consideration.
Submission may be an individual episode, a section of an episode, or a custom-made “highlight reel” from across your show.
We require all submitted podcasts to have an RSS feed available to distribute their full show separate from their submission.
This RSS feed can be hosted publicly or privately, and “full show” can be defined as a single episode.
At least one (1) Winning Podcast from Miami Web Fest 2022 will be Direct Selected to our partner festival, New Jersey Web Fest!

Is my show eligible?
Whether you call your show a talk show, fiction podcast, audio drama, audio fiction, or anything in between, you’re still welcome to submit! (We just use the term “podcast” for uniformity.)
Audio submitted should be no longer than 30 minutes in length and should present what you feel is the best representation of the audio you would like to be considered for awards. This can be a trailer or a portion of an episode, or even several episodes.
On the submission form, the final question is “Language of Podcast”. Please list the language of your submission and any specific dialect if applicable. We will ensure that your submission is judged by a fluent and properly trained judge. All accepted submissions in non-English languages will have to supply an English transcript with their “screening” file.
If you have any other questions about the eligibility of your production, please reach out to us at [email protected]
Why Podcasts?
The world has changed. Historically, Miami Web Fest has been Florida’s “film” festival for web series, offering both in-person local events and online experiences for worldwide audiences. We see Podcasts as a key contributor to the future of entertainment-on-the-go, providing both entertainment in unique and profoundly creative ways. For this reason, the Podcast is the perfect complement to the web series community. Podcast creators and Web Series creators together are the Stars of the New Digital Age!
Why Miami Web Fest?
The event is designed to create a work-play environment, attracting Miami’s vast and multicultural community of arts enthusiasts. For attendees, Miami Web Fest is a “window into the future” of new media, allowing the general public to experience Independently Produced Podcasts and see independently produced Web Series before they are discovered by big television networks and media entities. It’s also a chance to mingle with Network Executives and other Creators at some of the most exclusive hotspots in Miami!
We will announce acceptances on Monday, February 28th, 2022 on Facebook and Instagram.
2022 Miami Web Fest Submissions

Submissions from all over the world, and from every genre, are welcome.
Quality is the only criteria: we want to showcase the very best!
This year we are accepting both serialized and episodic fiction podcasts, including stand-alone fictional stories, anthologies, and pilots so that everyone can have a chance to #FeelTheMagic!
You can submit up to 30 minutes of material for consideration for the festival, this can be an individual episode, a section of an episode, or a custom-made “highlight reel” from across your show.
