Nina Harrison – Associate Counsel, ViacomCBS Networks Americas (Miami, FL)
Nina Harrison is an international in-house corporate, entertainment and media attorney at ViacomCBS Networks Americas based in Miami, Florida, where she specializes in global television distribution and acquisition deals for Latin America and Canada.
Nina began her legal career in the summer of 2011 as a legal intern at Bad Boy Entertainment, in New York City focusing primarily on marketing and branding deals for Diddy’s Ciroc Ultra Premium vodka and media enterprise. After earning her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, and becoming a licensed attorney in New York, she did contract work for financial international law firms on Wall Street; meanwhile starting her own solo practice entertainment law firm representing music artists and producers. Following her passion to work in entertainment, in 2014 Nina was hired to work for Viacom Media Networks in business and legal affairs supporting the Content Distribution and Marketing team working on the sale and distribution of Viacom’s leading brand channels such as, BET, MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
In 2014, Nina moved back to her hometown of Miami, FL transferring to the Miami-based headquarters of the Viacom International’s MTV Networks Latin America, now ViacomCBS Networks Americas. In Miami, she specialized in music and media licensing, where she handled all music licensing for original television productions (MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central) for all of Latin American countries, including the Caribbean and Canada. Currently, as in-house counsel at ViacomCBS, Nina has taken on lead roles handling large global television distribution deals (i.e., the launch of Pluto TV and Paramount+ digital streaming platform in Latin America). Nina also holds a leadership role as a co-chair of one of ViacomCBS’s global employee resource groups in Miami (RISE), spearheading initiatives to enforce diversity and inclusion in the corporate workforce.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Miami, Nina’s passion for film and television led her to study theatre and the performing arts throughout her academic career. Nina earned her Juris Doctorate degree in 2012 at Florida Coastal School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida.
